DIVISION MISSION STATEMENT
The Beautiful Plains School Division will strive to provide quality
educational opportunities within a safe and caring environment that will
enable students to become lifelong learners and become responsible,
productive, contributing citizens in a changing society.
J.M. YOUNG SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
J.M. Young School's mission is to provide a quality educational
community for all students with consideration given to individual
needs, enabling each student to develop to his/her fullest
potential.
J.M. YOUNG SCHOOL GOALS
1) to give students the advantages of a small school education;
2) to encourage participation in all school activities;
3) to provide a family atmosphere and the opportunity to interact across
the grade levels;
4) to foster an openness in contact with parents;
5) to encourage respect for other people and their property;
6) to structure the educational learning environment;
7) to provide for divergent student and/or class interests;
8) to encourage students to achieve their potential;
9) to develop leadership skills;
10) to teach a variety of learning strategies;
11) to orient courses to follow provincial curriculum;
12) to develop student independence and responsibility in learning;
13) to foster a love of learning;
14) to encourage self-confidence and self-esteem;
15) to develop student’s personal organization.
